My childcare policies follow the current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework, updated in September 2025.
The EYFS sets the legal standards for learning, development, safeguarding and welfare for all children from birth to five, ensuring they receive high-quality care and the best possible start in life.
The EYFS is given legal force through the Childcare Act 2006, which continues to underpin all early years provision in England.
My approach supports the core aims of the EYFS:
• Creating a safe, nurturing environment
• Promoting children’s health and wellbeing
• Encouraging enjoyment, curiosity and achievement
• Supporting positive relationships and development
• Preparing children for future learning and life
I regularly review and update my policies to align with the latest EYFS requirements.
